Arrived at the airport in Norfolk Friday afternoon. Norfolk is at the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay and is the home of the US Navy's Atlantic Command - the largest naval base in the world. So we skipped right by that and headed home to Rosie and Van's house for a bit of afternoon tea. Rosie provided a marble cake covered in chocolate icing so we all took an extra slice to eat on your behalf.
Sat and chatted for a while before eating supper (the evening meal) and then watched a recording of the evening news. That was enough to get the juices slowing down and make us decide it was about time to hit the sack.
Spring is just starting over here and the daffodils and flowering trees are just beginning to show a bit of color. Dogwoods are in early bloom and red maples show where they get their descriptive name.
I hope your well and having a lovely time. I was a bit concerned about your fall but you look good in the photos. I have a job every second Saturday during the football season at Ironbank Football Club. I have some grades back and have received 2 credits and two distinctions. Look forward to hearing more about your journey Alex xxxxooo
